Ulinzi Stars Head Coach Robert Matano is sick and needing financial help to meet to his rising medical bills. Matano was admitted to Coptic Hospital on Sunday evening after his kidney started failing and was instantly put on dialysis.
Despite the fact that he was released on Monday, the veteran coach said he is still feeble and needs to undergo not less than four sessions of dialysis consistently before his condition stabilizes. Matano said the sessions are extremely costly and beyond his financial capacity and requested for help from well-wishers to help him get well.
“I have been unwell since the team returned home from the military games held in Rwanda, which we won. On Sunday, I was rushed to healing center and promptly put on dialysis as my kidneys were coming up short. For every session I require Sh10,600 which implies that for the following four sessions, I will require more than Sh40,000.I can’t bear the cost of this colossal expense and I beg well-wishers to help me,” he said.
The Ulinzi Stars coach remains incapacitated at home as he can’t proceed onward his own. In Matano’s absence, the soldiers have so far played two matches drawing 0-0 against Posta Rangers in a league match and whipping Chemelil Sugar 3-1 in a GOtv shield tournament.
